This spinach pie is absolutely one of my favorite appetizers or small meals. The crispness of the pine nuts and the pastry combined with the saltiness of the white cheese and the freshness of the spinach is just delicious.


These are the ingredients you need:
  • 300 gr washed spinach
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 1 pack puff pastry (10 pieces)
  • 100g white cheese
  • 30g pine nuts
  • 1 egg yellow
  • Salt and pepper

And here are the steps for how to make them:
  1. Fry the chopped onion, spinach, put some salt and pepper on it,
  2. Mix the cooled spinach with the white cheese,
  3. Cut the puff pastry as an L shape at the two edges. So you have two separate corners but stuck to the rest of the puff
  4. Switch the loose corners
  5. Divide the spinach over 10 puff pastries,
  6. Beat the egg yellow and grease the edges of the pastry with it
  7. Put the pastries in a pre-heated oven at 200 c about 30 minutes,
  8. Fry the pine nuts in a pan without oil,
  9. Once the spinach pie is ready and cooked, spread the pine nuts on them.
